Core problem
The research group needed a way to run structured, repeatable culture assessments across mining sites and business units, score them against a defined maturity model, turn workshop findings into prioritized action plans, and track progress from a current state toward a target maturity level over time – not a one-off survey, but an ongoing capability-building tool.
Why an off-the-shelf approach couldn't solve it
Generic survey or LMS tools can’t hold a structured Capability Maturity Matrix – multiple dimensions (Drivers & Focus, Responsibility & Leadership, D&I Measurement, Mechanisms & Features) each scored across defined maturity levels (Compliance → Managerial → Integrative → Transformative), tied to specific workshop questions, and rolled up into current-vs-target tracking and prioritized action plans. This needed a purpose-built information architecture, not a form builder.
