Core problem
The client wanted to let end users design their own custom apparel using AI – generating original artwork and applying it to products rather than choosing from a fixed catalog of pre-made designs.
Why an off-the-shelf approach couldn't solve it
No existing platform let a user generate their own design with AI and see it applied live across multiple product types t-shirts, croptops, mugs, sweatshirts, hoodies in one flow. It needed AI image generation, background removal, and product mockup rendering working together as a single pipeline, not three separate tools.
