Full-Stack Website Design & Development -

THE BRIEF

A boutique law firm in Toronto needed a complete website — from brand expression through to a production-ready, CMS-powered site that their team could manage independently. Their existing site was over 8 years old, had a PageSpeed score of 24, was not mobile responsive, and was invisible on search.

The agency partner engaged NextEnvision to handle the full project: discovery workshops, UX architecture, visual design system, frontend and backend development, CMS configuration, SEO foundation, and handover documentation. Delivered entirely under the agency brand in 14 weeks. The end client never engaged with NextEnvision directly.

THE CHALLENGES

Professional services website projects are deceptively complex. Trust, credibility, and conversion architecture must be engineered into every design decision. The client also needed the site to perform on search from day one — SEO was not an afterthought.
Translating Legal Expertise into a Digital Brand

Law firm websites must communicate credibility, trust, and expertise without being cold or inaccessible. Required a design system that balanced professional authority with human approachability.

Performance on a Content-Heavy Site

The firm had extensive practice area content, attorney profiles, case insights, and resource downloads. Architecting for a 98 PageSpeed score on a content-rich site required disciplined performance engineering.

CMS That Non-Technical Staff Could Operate

The team needed to add news articles, update attorney bios, and manage practice area pages without developer involvement. CMS configuration required both flexibility and guardrails to prevent design breakage.

SEO Architecture from Scratch

The old site had no indexed content worth preserving. Building a clean URL structure, content hierarchy, schema markup, and internal linking framework that would rank from launch — not 6 months later.

Accessibility and Compliance

Canadian legal services clients include government and regulated entities. WCAG 2.1 AA compliance required across all interactive elements, colour contrast, keyboard navigation, and screen reader compatibility.

14-Week Delivery Window

Discovery, UX, visual design, development, content migration, SEO setup, testing, and launch — all within 14 weeks. Required a precise phased delivery model with zero scope creep tolerance.

WHAT NEXTENVISION BUILT
